Thank you, and happy reading!
i think you're right about nature vs. nurture. Who knows for certain what a person will love or not. I remember picking up a copy of Lonesome Dove, not my thing at all, but to this day it's one story that never leaves my head. I took that cattle journey with Gus and Captain McCall from Texas to Montana. I grew up in a house only reading the classics and had never Fantasy or SciFi, but once I did, I was hooked. I am an electric reader, and have a had of diving into a genre for months at a time before surfacing and moving along. Looking forward to your next post, and thanks for stopping by Passionate Pursuits and sharing. Brenda
ReplyDeleteIt really is a mystery. I have two friends who hated reading when they were young, but then they each found a book that just clicked for them and they've been voracious readers ever since.
DeleteI'm not familiar with Lonesome Dove, but it sounds like a western, which also isn't a typical genre for me. (I only read outside sci-fi/fantasy sporadically, and only after high recommendations from friends.)
Thank you very much for stopping by and for commenting! I hope that you continue to enjoy The Cat's Cradle and I look forward to your next post as well!
