To Write, You Must Read

THIS ENTRY HAS MOVED!

I’m sorry, but "To Write, You Must Read" has moved here.
I apologize for any inconvenience, irritability, or bodily harm this may have caused.

My new website for The Cat’s Cradle is http://kvclements.com.

Thank you, and happy reading!

  1. I'm a big fan of this one, myself. I'll read any and every genre, though there are of course those I prefer over others.

Nonfiction cannot be overstated, though, because the more you learn about the world around you and how it works (no matter *what* the subject- history; psychology; wildlife), the more builidng blocks you have to play with.

I try to alternate the books I read, so every other book is nonfiction. You would be surprised how much of this stuff naturally pops up in my fiction writing.

    1. Yes, I'm learning that myself, although I came into reading nonfiction fairly late. Everything you read can be an influence and is full of useful information. That's why most great writers are/were also avid readers. ^_^
